Judgement has been adjourned in the confiscation of assets against a major Cornish fish producer.
In 2007, W Stevenson and Son admitted charges relating to the illegal landing and sale of quota fish at Newlyn.
The Crown had originally requested the confiscation of £4m from the company's assets.
But Judge Philip Wassall at Plymouth Crown Court has agreed to consider new submissions from both the defence and the prosecution in two weeks time.
At the trial in 2007, Exeter Crown Court was told analysis showed that during six months in 2002 almost a quarter of the fish landed by some of Stevenson's 20 vessels was illegal.
Cod, hake and anglerfish were described incorrectly as non-quota, lower-value species such as ling, turbot and bass and auction records were falsified.
