Now known as the walkway this housing estate was builton the site of the old velva liquids factory, I used to fish there when the site was closed and ready for demolishion. And it was an uncomfortable place to fish. Now? its a nicely paved promenade in an exclusive area of shields. Fishing here on neap tides through daylight and darkness can produce mixed bags of colaies, codling , flounder and eel.
Best time/tactics 3 hrs down 3 hrs up is what we used to fish but you can fish all the way on small tides, In big tides a good grip lead is needed when casting distance as its a very stong tide race.
How to get there Park at the main little beach carpark on the sea front and walk towards the big yacht club, follow the path round to the left past the houses and the pilot jetty.Fishing is all the way along.
Bait Ragworm, Lugworm, Peelers
Tackle Standard beach gear or flattie gear
Species Codling,coalies, flatties, eel
