nice one h and goodlady! cracking site you got there ken! Thank you Sir! I haven't touched it for ages. I have to update it as I have a number of knife tests to publish. Some companies send me their new knives to run tests on. I am not going to build my collection any further as I have all the knives and variations that I "need". Cheers, Ken

Thank you. ;D I have been collecting for a long time. I have about 500 knives mainly Spyderco products but some Remington, Cold Steel, CRKT, Puma, Boker........etc. and over 150 Swiss Army knives. For the past three years I have organised the Spyderco Show at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Sal Glesser and his team come over and show us their new prototypes and concept models. A group of collectors, makers and users get together for the weekend to see the new products, talk metalurgy, drink beer and eat curry! ;D At 49 I am still a kid at heart and fully enjoy all of my hobbies which include shooting, fishing, and riding my Suzuki Bandit 1200. I guess that getting involved with kayak fishing is just another step towards my head long dive into my mid-life chrisis! Cheers, Ken

Merlin Sorry to have been so long getting back to you. I have been looking for a kayak sir. It is a cat, that is the original Mercator K55 Cat Knife made in Solingen, Germany. ;D It is still produced today with the same design and Solingen steel blade as manufactured in Germany during WWII. Many were brought back to the UK and the USA by soldiers returning home at the end of the war. Today the all steel construction results in a low cost pocketknife that maintains an excellent edge. Yours is a nice knife that seen some use over the years. It is good to see that it has served its user well. Thanks for letting me see them. Regards, Ken
